We are the families behind Sarda Dreams. We have spent our summers here for years, and this is the guide we give our friends: the tables we book, the beaches we pick when the wind turns, and the small things that make a stay easy.
With love from Palau, Olbia and Lago del Liscia
Distances are by road, approximate, from each villa; the closest villa is in bold. No sponsored tips. These are the tables we book for ourselves, with what we love and what you should know before you go.
The wind decides the beach. When the maestrale blows from the north‑west, choose a bay that faces south or east; on calm days, everywhere is beautiful.
Seven islands, a national park. Day tours leave Palau at 10; or rent a small boat without a licence.
The whitewashed piazzetta above the harbour, five minutes from Villa Gerani.
Wind‑carved granite and the Valle della Luna, an easy walk near Santa Teresa.
Wild olive trees above Lago del Liscia, near Villa De La Seliga.
A Bronze Age burial site in the hills behind Palau.
For the adventurous: the Gola di Gorropu canyon, two hours south.
Our favourite months are June and September: warm sea, long evenings and space on the beach. July and August are hot, lively and busy.
